How about design? When a young engineer begins to understand how certain characteristics can impact an airplane’s flight, he/she becomes empowered to start exploring alternative solutions. This kit was made to help students get creative and try new things based on their understanding of the principles of flight. Who can achieve the longest flight time? Who can make their airplane fly the farthest? Can you land your airplane in that circle on the other side of the gym or fly it through the hoop? What changes might you make to the design in order to accomplish different performance goals?
